I’m Diego Villanueva.
I try to make things that make you think, “Why didn’t I think of that?”
They usually begin with a question that is simple enough to sound slightly wrong. Then I write, design and build until there is something real enough to answer it.
With Fluent Spanish Express, the question was whether fluency could be trained instead of merely studied. What started as a place to teach Spanish has grown into its own learning platform, publishing system and directory of independent teachers.
Other questions are less sensible: can people buy Nothing, what happens when the whole internet shares one movable bit, and can the pineapple-on-pizza argument ever be settled? Those became Bit of Nothing, Move the Bit and The Pineapple War.
For now, I’ll keep following questions that seem just strange enough to be worth answering.
More to come.
